You can literally smell the pizza the moment you step out your car! It was heavenly and everything was delicious, super cute family friendly restaurant with excellent service. I got the combo with lasagna and meat ravioli with meat sauce and a meatball on the side. Very good! They also give you bread and butter. Sat outside and enjoyed the weather and people watched. My partner and I went here with high hopes based on the previous reviews. However, the service was not good at all. The server had short timers disease because very little attention was paid. Once we finished eating what we were going to eat of the food, we waited for quite some time for our server to come to our table since it was obvious we weren’t eating anymore. He never came, I had to call to him and even then he didn’t come right away. At least a half a dozen times another young man came vigorously sweeping by or table while we were trying to eat. While I appreciate the cleanliness, it’s not necessary that many times when no one else had been seated. We ordered the lasagna ravioli combo. The lasagna was okay, the ravioli was supposed to be meat but it didn’t taste like any meat I’ve ever tasted. We also tried a meatball, that was good. I will not be returning to this particular location ever again. Even though it’s the closest, I will try out the IB location and hope for better service. First time to eat at “El Pollo loco” and honestly the food was so good, especially if ur trying to eat healthy ?By Marie Louise (7 months ago)I used to love El Apollo Loco until I visited this location. My last 3 or 4 orders have been disgusting. Items were either left missing or the food was super soggy or over cooked. Definitely doesn’t taste like regular El pollo loco.
Luckily, there are a few other options in the area for lunch.

Took like 10mins to pay cause the staff did not know you can pay with apple pay/ samsung pay..but that’s not the half of it. I called in my order for a fried rice and a coconut cooler to go. After I finally paid and got my food I felt like the drink was half way so I checked I showed it to the manager he said it’s because of the 12oz cup. I’ve had this drink at pf changs and I know the comparison it’s not that much and they always pack this drink with ice so be careful with this hack of a place. The restaurant had a nice, warm ambience. They had indoor/outdoor seating available, but we chose to dine indoors since it was a bit chilly. The food was great: we ordered the spinach artichoke dip, wild mushroom pizza and our little one had the pepperoni pizza. La Bella is a Chula Vista institution. Their arcade and pool hall are awesome for families with kids. It’s definitely a really fun hang out spot on family or game nights.
The food is pretty good for the most part. The pizzas, jalapeño poppers, and salads are all really great choices. I’d generally avoid their spaghetti options — the tomato and marinara sauces they use on them are rather bland.
The bar is great! A lot of choices and good draft beers with a fun staff. Come on down to La Bella for great pizza and beer, plus a game or two of pool!
Well it was nice to be back. The place was clean and remodeled. It looked brighter. The pizza was not like before that’s all I can say. It was lacking flavor same for the pasta and salad. Yes even the salad, it had mostly oil not dressing or vinegar. The Italian ice cream is delicious though. A family of 4 can eat here for $50 plus a tip. Arcade is open. Pool tables are open too. Overall had a nice time even though food wasn’t great. A little disappointed in the pizza, it was also a little undercooked (baked) and missing salt or something….update I went back and tried the kicking bbq wings, soooo good spicy hot and delicious. The kids wanted to play in the arcade again we also tried the ice cream yum.
Ordered the Chicken Pizza and had it delivered.
When they delivered it and after driver left I opened the box and almost all toppings were on one side. Like if driver hit the brakes or if pizza fell down. Wasn’t able to really enjoy my pizza.

This is my first time here. A friend suggested this place for good pizza. This pizzeria stood for 60 years, and it’s one of the famous pizzeria in Chula Vista.
At first, I thought of dining outside, but I wanted to experience this wonderful place. Once we’re seated, the service was not there. We waited a few more minutes to no avail.
We decided to order out and have outside dining experience.
At the front desk, we ordered Italian Meat Lover pizza. They said it will 15mins to cook. So we time it.
After 15 minutes, I went inside, and the pizza was waiting.
Let tell you what, the pizza was amazingly delicious. Big chunk of meat, perfectly seasoned pizza sauce, and the dough was nice crisp at the bottom and soft in the inside.
I would rank this place on top of my list.
Later, I found out that there was only one server working in the dining area that i saw. And the dining area was half full.
I would recommend this place.
Parking is limited. It has handicap accommodation. Family friendly. And front desk staff are friendly. 5 star on my book.
